Battlefield 3 was released in America and other countries on Monday 24th, but Europe have to wait till Friday 28th. If you try and launch the game through Origin you just get a message telling you that it will not be activated until release, fuck that shit.

Luckily EA are stupid fucks, they only check the locale of your IP address to determine your release date. So without further a do, here is a basic guide to trick Origin into thinking you are American and thus activating your Battlefield3.

• Control Panel
• Internet Options
• Connections
• LAN settings
• Tick ‘Use a proxy server for your LAN’
• Address: 210.107.100.251 Port: 8080
• Press OK

Launch BF3, activation check will pass, go back into Internet Options and remove the proxy.

You only need to do this once to activate the game, enjoy.
